Bayern Munich will have the golden opportunity to dethrone Borussia Dortmund as the Bundesliga leaders as they host VfL Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena this weekend. The Bavarians are trailing their arch-rivals due to an inferior goal-difference but are coming on the back of an exceptional run of form that saw them collect twelve points since the start of February. Dortmund, meanwhile, have collected only six during that time-frame.

Bayern’s most recent victory came against Borussia Monchengladbach last weekend and head coach Niko Kovac will demand a similar display against a Wolfsburg side, who have an awful record against the German champions. That being said, the Wolves have collected as many as 24 points from their last 12 Bundesliga matches, a tally bettered only by three teams, including Bayern and Dortmund.

Even though they are coming on the back of a somewhat disappointing 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen in their last game, Bruno Labbadia’s men have an excellent chance of causing an upset, having remained unbeaten in their last five Bundesliga matches. And here, at the Hard Tackle, we take a look at both the sides ahead of this mouthwatering fixture on Saturday.

Jerome Boateng was given the nod ahead of Mats Hummels in the last game and the former Manchester City defender is likely to retain his place in the starting lineup.Boateng certainly has a point to prove after being deemed surplus to requirements for the German national team by Joachim Low earlier this month. He will be partnered by Niklas Sule at the heart of the Bayern backline.

Javi Martinez is almost a guaranteed starter in midfield, having played exceptional football in the past few weeks. The Spaniard will look to keep things tidy in the middle and provide protection for the back four while his midfield partner Thiago Alcantara will be tasked with the responsibility of easing Bayern’s transition from midfield to offence.Thomas Muller could once again be deployed in the right wing slot in the absence of Kingsley Coman and Arjen Robben, meaning Serge Gnabry will start on the opposite flank, with James Rodriguez operating as the attacking midfielder. And finally, the Bayern attack will be led by the one and only Robert Lewandowski.

Team News & Tactics

Bayern Munich could still be without the services of David Alaba, who is a doubt coming into this fixture, having trained by himself on the eve of the game. Therefore, Rafinha is likely to continue deputizing for the Austrian in the left-back slot while Joshua Kimmich will retain his place on the opposite flank.

Arsenal vs Man Utd

Arsenal vs Man Utd : EPL 2019 Arsenal vs Manchester United in the Premier League. A crucial game in the battle for a top-four finish and, therefore, Champions League football next season.

A massive battle is set for Sunday in London with fourth place on the line as Manchester United goes to the Emirates to take on Arsenal. The Red Devils are in fourth place with 58 points and a record of 17-7-5, while Arsenal is in fifth place and just a point behind with a record of 17-6-6. United needs just a draw to remain in fourth place this weekend but will be boosted by the 3-1 win at the Gunners in the FA Cup this season.

The Gunners are coming off a rough 3-1 loss at Rennes in the Europa League in a game when most starters played. That result, being outplayed like they were, doesn’t give them any momentum entering this game. They’ll have to reset and keep in mind just what’s at stake here. There’s revenge, a top-four spot and some much-needed momentum on the line. While Arsenal doesn’t have momentum, United has enough to supply every team in English soccer. The heart-pounding 3-1 win at PSG on Wednesday saw the Red Devils advance to the Champions League quarterfinals. This game is a continuation of a tough stretch of matches stringing till the end of April and including games against Watford, Wolves, Manchester City and Chelsea. The next month and a half will make or break their season.

A scoreline that is more common than you might think with 7.2% of all games having ended with that result, and it’s proven particularly important in the lives of and recently too.Last season’s league game at Emirates Stadium ended 3-1 to United, as did the game there earlier this season. And the two clubs’ European games in this week also ended 3-1 – United sealing a stunning comeback in the capital on Wednesday, while Arsenal suffered a loss at 24 hours later.

Let’s talk about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for a moment, though. United’s form since he rocked up at a somewhat beleaguered Old Trafford in December has been little short of sensational. Fourteen wins from 17 matches and only one defeat. It’s that quite miraculous run that has catapulted the Norwegian from interim to virtually-crowned. And so it should. To haul United into the top four is one thing, to negotiate a way past a confident holding a two-goal lead, without your best player and with as many as 10 absentees to cope with is quite another.

Even so, to suggest that United’s current run – including a club-record nine away wins in a row – has relied on elements of luck is seen in some partisan quarters as football blasphemy. Literal blasphemy to those that view Solskjaer as something of a pontiff, someone who can channel the teachings of Sir Alex Ferguson and reverse the failed reformations of Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho.

And it’s apt that United, fresh from winning in Paris by scoring with three of their four shots on target – the only one of which that didn’t hit the net being spilled by Gianluigi Buffon straight to a grateful Romelu Lukaku – go to Arsenal in their next match, the venue for what remains the most unlikely victory in recent Premier League history.

In that quite incredible game dominated by the Gunners in December 2017, Arsenal had 33 shots to United’s eight, while David De Gea made 13 saves in one of the most extraordinary goalkeeping performances ever seen in ’s top division.

Real are back on the road Sunday for this first time since Levante, coincidentally their last win across any competition. It’s been an absolute nightmare since that win over Levante, with Real dropping further in the LaLiga standings and being knocked out of both the Copa del Rey and Champions League.

On top of these three losses, at the hands of Barcelona and Ajax, they’ve also added some big names to the injury list: namely Vazquez, Vinicius, and Carvajal. And on top of this further, Santi Solari is on a red hot seat and there is already plenty of replacement talk going around.

Valladolid are 16th in LaLiga, so Real are the favorites for this match despite the recent losing. Real won 2-0 at the Bernabéu the last time these two clubs met back in November.

Since LaLiga is certainly out of reach with Real currently 15 points behind Barcelona, their sole focus now is retaining a top four spot. They are 7 points up on fifth place Alaves, so it would really take an epic collapse at this point. More than the points, Real just need to get a win again.Real has lost three matches in a row, two against rival Barcelona and the third to Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday, as the club has been knocked out of two tournaments and is likely out of the race in La Liga. With pressure mounting on coach Santiago Solari, could this be his final game in charge of the team?

Courtois; Odriozola, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Modric, Casemiro, Ceballos; Brahim, Asensio, BenzemaWith Carvajal out, Odriozola will most certainly start in place of him. Reguilón had missed Thursday’s training session alongside Navas, though they’ve both been back since. Solari may choose to start Marcelo.

Just given how poor Kroos looked against Ajax on Tuesday, Solari may give him a rest this match. He could do that with Modric too with Valverde, though it may be less likely. With Bale likely out and no Vinicius, Brahim might finally get a chance to feature again. Another option would be Isco on the left side, as was seen under Lopetegui, and Asensio on the right, but Solari doesn’t seem to favor Isco too much after his recent comments.

This would be a match where Mariano ideally would start to give Benzema a rest, but if he’s still out injured that’s not really an option here.Depending on the lineup, this scoreline can obviously be more affected positively or negatively. Real need a win, not just to keep their lead in the top 4 safe, but also to lift their spirits a bit. This last week has been the lowest point of the season, and that’s already taking into account that this club has already had a managerial change this season.

They need a road win for themselves at this point more so than the fanbase does, though there are low spirits surrounding the fans as well. The injuries certainly complicate things, but the club has been dealing with injuries all season.

The team needs to show they can bounce back from one of the worst periods in recent history and try and salvage some positivity from it. They won’t get close to being back in a title race, they’ll still be 12 points out even with a win, but they can further solidify a spot in next year’s Champions League and move forward with a better attitude.

Napoli drew 0-0 with Torino on Sunday, their third goalless draw in four Serie A games, allowing Juventus to take a 13-point lead at the top of the table.Carlo Ancelotti’s side were held to stalemates by AC Milan and Fiorentina in their last two away games and failed to find the net once again at the Stadio San Paolo.Arkadiusz Milik came close on several occasions and Lorenzo Insigne curled a shot off the post but Torino held firm to frustrate their hosts. In the first half, Milik poked a finish wide from inside the six-yard box after meeting Fabian Ruiz’s cross, while Insigne had the best chance after the interval but his shot came off the upright.

Napoli midfielder Allan was shown a second yellow card in stoppage time, before the decision was overturned for mistaken identity following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review, with Kevin Malcuit picking up the booking instead.”We lacked a goal, just as we did against Fiorentina,” Ancelotti told Italian broadcasters.”We played with focus, motivation, determination, but it’s unacceptable to have 18 scoring opportunities over two games and not score any of them.”Evidently we need to work in training on the finishing, crosses, movements, decision-making. I defy anyone to say this team doesn’t play good football but we are not turning the chances into goals.

The result leaves Napoli in second place on 53 points, while Torino occupy ninth with 35 points.Earlier on Sunday, Inter Milan defeated Sampdoria 2-1 at San Siro to consolidate their grip on third place, while Domenico Criscito’s 93rd-minute winner gave Genoa a 2-1 victory over Champions League hopefuls Lazio. There were also wins for Udinese and Empoli over Chievo and Sassuolo respectively and in the lunchtime kick-off Fiorentina won 4-1 away to SPAL.

Not quite the way to start the season but what do you expect when the match was played on the planet Hoth. If we’re being honest, it’s a match that shouldn’t have been played after the first half. Regardless, it was played, and we saw a second half in which the Timbers would concede a late goal to allow Colorado to get away with a draw.

On the other hand, Los Angeles Football Club got their season off to the right start, winning their home opener against a shorthanded Sporting Kansas City. It wasn’t like LAFC cruised to the 2-1 victory, it took a deep stoppage time goal by Adama Diomande to break the deadlock. Can the Timbers even their record, or will the black and gold of LAFC continue their ways and notch a second win in a row at home?

Bob Bradley and his squad are headed into their second season in Major League Soccer and look to better their 2018 campaign. This is a team that set the record for most points by an expansion club (57), and made a playoff run that left a sour taste in their mouth. For the most part, this is the same team as last season, though they’re missing a couple key players including Benny Feilhaber who now, as we know, plays in Colorado. The key question is who is going to provide goals from the striker position; we know that Carlos Vela and Diego Rossi can put the ball in the back of the net with consistency and are all in all damn dangerous. It’s either going to be either Christian Ramirez or Adama Diomande up top for LAFC. Both can be dangerous but I’d err on the side of Diomande being thorn in the side of the Timbers. Does he get the start? Only Bob Bradley knows for sure. Add on to that Rossi and Vela and this attack is a nightmare for defenses.

Bradley sticks with a 4-3-3 and doesn’t really employ a traditional defensive midfielder; all three push forward in the attack, but also have defensive duties as well. They depend on short passes, possession, and through balls. A lot of what they do does come from individual skill, but when you throw it all together you get a pretty tough team. One of the things that dogged the Timbers in 2018 was their collective inability to put teams away in the dying minutes of matches. Last season in minutes 76-90 the Timbers conceded the most goals (15) than any other time interval all season; the closest was minutes 31-45 with 12 goals conceded.

Listen, regardless of the weather conditions and a goal lead, the Timbers should have been able to shut down the match from there, but instead allowed Colorado to shovel up a point.Let’s be honest, there’s nothing we can really glean from the season opener. Not much you can get from playing in a snowstorm in searing cold. So, this match against LAFC we’ll get a better look at the 2019 Timbers. A bulk of the starting lineup is returning from last year, the missing piece is the recently departed Liam Ridgewell who now plays for Championship side Hull City. In his place is Julio Cascante who had his share of growing pains last season, and eventually lost his job to a returning Ridgewell.

The attack looks solid with the only question being Jeremy Ebobisse. For the time being he’s the guy up top, with the Timbers unable at the moment to find the DP striker they’ve been on the hunt for. I (along with everyone else) hope he builds on his successes last season while he continues to start.

Not that I’ll be doing weather updates on a regular basis, but it will be a lot different in LA that it was in Colorado. It’s going to be wet and in the upper 50’s by first kick. It’s supposed to rain most of the day and will give way to partly cloudy later on. All in all, much better than a massive snow storm.Saturday’s match was the fifth time that Sebastian Blanco and Diego Valeri have scored goals in the same match. The Timbers are 2-0-3 when they tally goals together. The 2019 season marks Diego Chara’s ninth consecutive season with the Timbers. He is the first player in club history across all eras to play more than eight seasons with Portland.

Playing at home was a key advantage in the AAF … until it wasn’t. In Week 4, three of the four road teams came away victorious, while Memphis, the only home team to win, needed a come-from-behind effort to get its first victory of the season. At almost the halfway point in the regular season, there still aren’t many tendencies to lean on with these teams (here’s how to watch all the Week 5 games).

San Antonio vs Arizona Live Stream : Watch alliance of american football league Free Online HD TV

Offenses have been moving the ball as of late, but red zone opportunities have still been tough. Take last Sunday’s game between the San Antonio Commanders and Birmingham Iron. The Commanders aren’t a great red zone offense anyway, but they couldn’t even get two yards to hit pay dirt on five-straight carries against the “Iron Curtain.” Similarly, the Atlanta Legends had three-straight unsuccessful red zone trips in the early portion of their 14-11 win at Arizona.

This week’s games are divisional matchups, so there’s a lot on the line as we enter the second half of the season. How will Week 5 of the AAF shake out? Check out our picks below. Lines are courtesy of MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

I’ve been taking unders, almost blindly, for the first month. The under looks good here given how well both of these defenses have played — plus, Birmingham’s offense has been a slow starter, to say the least. The more interesting part is the spread because this game feels like it could go in one of two directions. Either it’s decided by, say, a field goal in favor of either team, or Orlando wins by 17. It’s concerning that Iron quarterback Luis Perez has yet to throw a touchdown and the Apollos’ secondary is one of the team’s best units. I wouldn’t be surprised if the score is close for most of the game, I just don’t know where Birmingham is going to get its points other than through non-offensive touchdowns or hidden yards.

Saturday night’s game is interesting in that it features a team that has played better than its record and a team that just lost its starting quarterback for most, if not all, of the remaining regular season. This is a chance for the Stallions (1-3) to get a much-needed win and take a step forward in the West, where every team is 1-1 in the division. The Stallions’ running game with Branden Oliver vs. the Fleet’s defensive front will be the matchup to watch. In the end, if the line is a pick’ em, I’m going to go with the team that isn’t trying to patch things together at quarterback.

Even though both teams have made quarterback changes, and their offenses are better for it, these are still two of the lowest-scoring offenses in the Alliance. Both can move the ball just fine, but capitalizing on red zone opportunities have been an issue. Again, given the line, I’m going to side with the team playing better football at the moment. Zach Mettenberger’s ability to stretch the field and Memphis’ disruptive defense are the keys.

What to make of this one? Arizona has lost two in a row and you’re never quite sure what you’re going to get with the Commanders – except for a porous secondary. Cornerback Zack Sanchez has come up with some clutch interceptions, but far too often wideouts have been able to get behind the defense for big plays. The Hotshots, unlike Birmingham last week, are capable of stretching the field vertically and San Antonio may pay for that. At the same time, I’d expect the Commanders to lean on their ground game and play ball-control offense after having a lot of success with that in Week 4. Will that be enough, though? Arizona needs a big rebound game.

Joe Schmidt admitted after that unconvincing performance at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico that the men in green were a ‘bit broken’ after their dismantling by England on opening weekend and they will hope to restore some confidence against France.Ireland have appeared far from their best during the opening three rounds and with a tough trip to unbeaten Grand Slam chasers Wales to come, need to put in an impressive performance to ease some of the mounting concerns ahead of the World Cup.

France, meanwhile, produced some old-fashioned flair against Scotland, but remain a wholly inconsistent proposition from week to week – even with an unchanged squad – and do not typically travel well. These two teams have met on 97 previous occasions, with France having claimed 56 victories to Ireland’s 34. As expected, the Fosun-Mendes-backed soon-to-be juggernaut that is Wolverhampton Wanderers has made a lasting impression on the Premier League at the first attempt. If there is a glass ceiling between the top six and the rest, Wolves are surely on the verge of smashing through it and upsetting the established order. Destined to become just another detested billionaire-backed superclub, Wolves are currently riding the wave of positive PR that comes just before gluttonous trophy hauling turns affection to envy.

Chelsea vs Wolves Live Stream : Watch Chelsea vs Wolves Premier League 2019 Game Free On TV

To be fair, the main reason Wolves have acquired so many admirers this season is that there really is much to like about this team. Manager Nuno Espírito Santo is as avuncular as he is astute and his team has played every game with nothing so much as a hint of cynicism or malice entering their minds. The on-pitch stars have been top scorer Raúl Jiménez, assist machine Matt ‘Cafu’ Doherty and genuine midfield maestro Rúben Neves, but it feels harsh to have left any name off this list. They’ve been well coached and organised all season, with memorable moments of quality and decisiveness provided by every member of the squad.

They’ve won away to Spurs and Everton, beaten Chelsea at home and held Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal. They’ve floored just about every midtable opponent they’ve come up against. If there has been an Achilles heel, it’s been their results against the Premier League’s strugglers: Huddersfield beat them twice and defeats have also come against Cardiff, Brighton and Crystal Palace.

That profligacy has arguably changed Chelsea history, albeit in a minor way: had Wolves taken advantage in those more winnable games, the gap between them and Chelsea would surely be minimal enough to have convinced Roman Abramovich to sack Maurizio Sarri when the opportunity arose.

Their fixture list for the rest of the season is brutal – after this trip to Stamford Bridge they have to face Manchester United twice (once in the FA Cup, once in the league), Arsenal and Liverpool – and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they dropped from their current position atop the Best Of The Rest mini-league. So good have they been, however, it wouldn’t be such a shock were they to take points off those teams and end up closer to the top six than they could have expected.

Going into the summer, another mega-splurge should be expected. So many players in this team would be unfortunate to lose their places off the back of such a heroic season, but there’s no room for sentimentality in football.

For most of the season Wolves played a Conte-inspired 3-4-2-1, sitting deep and absorbing pressure before haring forward into acres of space on the break. That’s how they beat Chelsea in December — well, that and Chelsea shooting into the stands all night (only 3-of-17 on target) — but, as Conte found, there’s only so long that way of playing works before teams get smart and sit deep, denying the space that makes the system so dangerous on the break while making spare men in deep and wide positions redundant.

For the last couple of months Wolves have been playing 3-1-4-2, utilising the same basic approach but with a different way up the pitch. Forwards Jiménez and Diogo Jota are extremely mobile and they pull the opposition defence all over the pitch with their movement, destabilising the backline and leaving the centre-forward space vacant for midfield runners to exploit. Leander Dendoncker, not a starter before the change of system, has become a key attacking weapon, Lamparding his way into goalscoring positions from deep, while the overlapping wing-backs create overloads on the flanks.

Burnley drew Liverpool last season in its Premier League visit to Anfield. However, the Clarets haven’t beaten the Reds on the road in the Premier League since 1974. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will rely on the ferocious home support to help intimidate Burnley and extend the Reds’ home unbeaten streak to 35 Premier League games. Here’s the message he sent Liverpool fans Friday at his pregame press conference.

Klopp also will need his attackers to recover their verve, as the Reds have scored more than one goal in just three of the 11 games they’ve played in 2019. NBC Sports will broadcast Liverpool versus Burnley in English, and NBC Universo will do so in Spanish in the United States. Here’s how to watch the game online.

Jurgen Klopp’s side surrendered the lead at the top of the table to after in a Merseyside derby last time out. With no European commitments this week, the Reds have had time to recalibrate their charge for the summit but are unable to regain first place due to City’s 3-1 win over on Saturday.

The Citizens hold a one-point advantage at the top of the standings following Liverpool’s slip at Old Trafford, one of three 0-0 stalemates they’ve run out in their last four matches. Not only that, but the Reds have drawn five times in those last seven games.

Still, while Jurgen Klopp will be disappointed by his side’s lack of consistent firepower recently, he can take comfort in the fact they’re unbeaten in nine and haven’t lost to Burnley since August 2016.

The Clarets—who have lost their last two matches—did manage to snatch a 1-1 draw from their last trip to Anfield in September 2017, which remains to this day the only Premier League point they’ve ever picked up from the ground.

Klopp is still dogged by defensive injuries to Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is still fighting to feature again for the Reds before the end of this season.Manchester City host Watford on Saturday and could temporarily climb four points clear of Liverpool before the Merseyside giants have a chance to reel the leaders back in on Sunday.
